The corresponding author is the person listed as Corresponding Author at the time of submission, and is the person responsible for communicating with the journal during the peer review and publication process.
What’s included?
• Articles accepted will be eligible for transformative agreement funding to enable authors to publish open access with no cost to themselves
• Research papers, special issues, letters and review article types
• Included journals are those in lists A, B, C and D in the title list of eligible journals

IOP Publishing produces high-value scientific information for the scholarly community and as all of our content is published online, we are acutely aware of the need to ensure permanent availability of, and access to, these resources. We therefore have an archiving policy in place through which we are committed to preserving our online content in archiving services.
All IOP Publishing online journals and ebooks are archived in CLOCKSS and Portico to ensure that these resources are preserved in the long term.
This page has now moved and you can view our full list of journals here
Every journal is different, and while the method of submission might be very similar, there may be different requirements for each journal. This could include the types of articles the journal accepts and any limits on word length. You can find all the instructions for our journals in the table below, along with links to their submission site and email address.
General advice about getting published, including how to structure an article can be found at Author guidelines for IOP journals.

As the DOI remains constant, we recommend the inclusion of the DOI when citing the accepted manuscript. The exact syntax of the citation will differ between reference styles, but we suggest e.g.: Author, A, Author B, and Author C 2016 New J. Phys. https://doi.org/10.1088/1367-2630/aa0000
The DOI and metadata will be registered with Crossref and indexed by Google for discoverability. Relevant papers will also be indexed in PubMed. PubMed will class these articles as ‘ahead of print’ and will update their status once the final version of record is published.
Currently Web Of Science, SCOPUS and other services do not support accepted manuscripts, but if they decide to do this we will do the necessary work to allow them to index the relevant metadata.
Yes, and we will also show some basic metadata that will include the date the manuscript became available online, author names, and affiliations where available.
When the version of record is available this will be published with the same DOI to ensure there is a consistent reference for citing the work.
The following journals all publish Accepted Manuscripts:
