Journal Team

Publisher: Lauren Carter

As Publisher, Lauren Carter is responsible for leading the publishing and content development strategy for Environmental Research: Water in close collaboration with the co-Editors-in-Chief and Editorial Board to ensure that the journal fully represents the subject field and the needs of the research community it serves. Lauren holds a BSc in Environmental Science and MSc in Climate Change Science and Policy. She joined IOP Publishing in 2016 as an Associate Editor, coordinating and managing peer review on several journals, before moving into editorial development in 2018. Since then, as Publisher, she has been responsible for managing both established titles, including Environmental Research Letters, and new journal launches within the environmental and biomedical sciences.

Editor: Riona Moore

As Editor, Riona Moore manages the peer review process on Environmental Research: Water supported by the Editorial Board. The Editor ensures all submissions receive a fair and timely assessment, processing scientific recommendations on articles as provided by the Editorial Board and independent expert peer reviewers in accordance with research integrity standards. Riona has four years editorial experience working as Associate Editor and then Editor on IOP Publishing’s journals, including the environmental research and machine learning series’. Riona also holds a Bachelor and Master of Laws.
