How to get to the CCC Republication Service

To request permission to use content from these journals, including republication of figures and excerpts from subscription articles or republication of an entire subscription article, please use CCC’s Republication Service.

There are two ways to use the service.

A

  1. Go to copyright.com
  2. Search for the IOP-owned journal title (or ISSN) you wish to use the figure/excerpt/content from in the ‘Get Permissions’ search bar in the top right hand corner
  3. Select the correct publication from the results list (ensure ‘IOP Publishing’ is listed as ‘Publisher’)
  4. Click on the relevant ‘’Pay-Per-Use Options’ button. This will take you to a list of options on CCC
  5. Use the ‘Republish or Display Content’ tab and select the appropriate way that you will be reusing the content
  6. Follow the process through

B

  1. Click on the ‘Get permissions to re-use this article’ link to the right of the title on the article page on IOPscience
  2. This will take you to a list of options on CCC
  3. Use the ‘Republish or Display Content’ tab and select the appropriate way that you will be reusing the content
  4. Follow the process through.

Some orders will be dealt with automatically by the system. You should therefore be able to clear permission almost immediately, subject to agreeing to all relevant terms and any price which applies to the permission. For pending orders, please see information below.

Do you have a guide on how to use CCC's Republication Service?

Yes. Please refer to this handy guide produced to help authors request permission via the Republication Service.

What if I am publishing my new journal/ebook with another STM signatory publisher?

Importantly, if you are republishing content with an STM signatory publisher then please ensure you select ‘Publisher–STM’ from the drop-down list ‘Describe who will reproduce the content (person or entity)…’.

What if I am the author of the original article from which I wish to reuse content?

Importantly, if you are the original author of the content you wish to reuse, please ensure you select ‘Author of requested content’ from the drop-down list ‘Describe who will reproduce the content (person or entity)…’.

My order is ‘Pending’. What does this mean?

Some orders require review and approval by  IOP’s rights and permissions team, and you will be quoted a ‘TBD’ (to be determined) price. Please note that you will be provided with a full quote before being asked to pay, and you may accept or decline the order at this stage. The rights and permissions team aims to provide an initial response to all pending orders within two working days.
